Infantino studied at the University of Fribourg, majoring in law. He is proficient in Italian, French, German, English and Spanish. He is a language genius and has served as a consultant to Italian, Spanish and Swiss football associations.

In August 2000, infantino began to join UEFA. As a multilingual lawyer, his main work is related to law, business and professional football. In June 2004, he was appointed as the head of UEFA's legal affairs and club access approval department. He is also responsible for coordinating the relations between UEFA and the European Union and other government agencies.

On June 5438- 10, 2009, infantino became the Secretary-General of UEFA to promote the development of European leagues and national teams. Among them, one of infantino's most important tasks is to promote the healthy and sustainable development of European leagues and to promote small European countries and clubs to get enough financial support.

In addition, infantino put forward the idea of expanding the 20 16 European Cup to 24 teams, and put forward the concept of European national league, which promoted the holding of the 2020 European Cup in 13 different countries. At present, infantino is also a member of the FIFA Reform Committee.
