Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is located in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. It is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning organized by Guizhou Provincial People's Government. It is a university jointly established by state administration of traditional chinese medicine and Guizhou Provincial People's Government, a pilot university for the reform of the education and training plan for outstanding Chinese medicine talents, and a key university supported by Guizhou Province.
Founded in 1965, the school was formed by the merger of the former Department of Motherland Medicine of Guiyang Medical College, Guizhou Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guizhou Health Cadre Training School and Guiyang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. In 2002, Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi Petroleum Technical School was placed under Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a whole; 20 18 12, renamed Guizhou university of traditional Chinese medicine.
As of June 20 18, the school covers an area of 16 12 mu, with a total construction area of 495,400 square meters, a total construction area of1075,300 square meters, and a total value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment of1660,000 yuan. As of March 20 19, the school has two campuses, Huaxi and Jiaxiu, with full-time teachers10/5850 and various students 15850. There are 3 first-class master programs, 20 master programs in two disciplines and 4 professional master programs.
