Let me talk about my review method first: I spent three months preparing for the exam. I went to New Oriental 16 days first. I have the internal information of New Oriental here, so I can't spread it everywhere on the Internet. However, if you like, you can give it to me for free, including other materials, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Let's talk about listening first When New Oriental is in class, it means to insist on it for an hour or two every day. It must be done hard. The real questions from sword 3 to sword 7 are too important. That's all I heard. I listened to each lesson five times, the first time I did the problem, the second time I listened to it again without looking at the answer, and then I did it again to see what I didn't hear the first time. Then listen to the answer for the third time and read the original text for the fourth time to find out. There is also the need to memorize scene vocabulary, which I have and can pass on to you. One week before the exam, you must watch the 3g IELTS listening prediction, which is quite accurate. It was because I didn't believe in this hearing that I suffered a big loss. Usually my listening comprehension is above 7. . . Alas. . . Listening is nothing else. If you have enough time, you can stick to listening to the BBC, which is beneficial and harmless.
Besides reading, we should thoroughly understand the real questions. The problem of Jian 3 is old, so you can choose to do it. Sword 4 to sword 7 must be done. When I took the exam, I estimated that Jian 8 was also out, and I had to do it all. Every article should be done more than twice, and the second time is intensive reading. When doing it, control the time, write one article in 20 minutes, and control it to be completed within 16 minutes. I read a lot of reading materials. I read China Daily, which is simpler than IELTS, and then I learned to scan a few words at a glance, which is called group reading. Hang in there, there will be a breakthrough.
Besides, I really can't believe everything about writing, templates, and so on. Foreigners can see that, so I just practice the real questions in the usual way, and I also bought a writing book, and wrote every article by myself, and then compared with the model essay, I found other people's good words and sentences, which accumulated over time. I practiced 40 big compositions and 20 small compositions the day before the exam, but I still didn't do very well in the exam, because the thinking of China people is so different from that of foreigners. Writing really needs a lot of effort, otherwise it is difficult to make a breakthrough.
Finally, speak spoken English. There is no other way to practice oral English, just open your mouth and say that oral English topics can be downloaded from the Internet. There is a question bank and an organic book. There will be one or two new questions every month, so just pay attention. IELTS speaking has three parts. The first part is about family. This doesn't need special preparation. Just know what the topic is, just relax and talk to the examiner. During the exam, I was asked about my major, whether I like to travel by plane, who to send emails to, and so on. The second part should focus on preparation. If you have time, I have prepared all the card questions. At that time, I prepared 100 channels. Because my oral English foundation is not very good, I used a stupid method, that is, I prepared a notebook, wrote down every card question myself, and then memorized it. As it turns out, this method is only useful when you are not nervous at all during the exam, so you'd better get a card question, say it five times by yourself, and then write an outline in your notebook. Others say that this method is better, you can try it and save a lot of time. The third part can't be prepared, and the examiner will start according to your second part, so it's better to speak oral English and create an atmosphere for yourself. In addition, I resolutely abandoned the American accent for IELTS and practiced English crazily. Now I can't bend my tongue. It's really unnecessary. My oral exam teacher can only speak American English. I don't have to worry about this accent. Either one will do. I recommend the teaching materials I use to you, hoping to help you!
