1958 In September, Maanshan Iron and Steel Industry School was established, and the dual leadership system of Anhui Metallurgical Department and Maanshan City was implemented.

1960 in may, with the approval of Anhui provincial party Committee, Maanshan iron and steel industrial school was renamed Maanshan iron and steel institute.

196 1 year, Tongguanshan Nonferrous Metals College merged (the former Tongguanshan Nonferrous Metals Industrial School was founded in1958; 1960 was renamed Tongguanshan Institute of Nonferrous Metals).
