The Digital Media Laboratory of School of Journalism and Communication was established in 2002 with the support of "985 Plan". The digital media lab has a total area of about 200 square meters, which consists of Apple lab and non-editing lab. Its functions are non-editing, graphic design and media research, and it belongs to a comprehensive teaching laboratory. The core task of digital media laboratory is to complete the teaching and practice of undergraduate and graduate students, and also provide data support and platform services for teachers and students' scientific research. The digital media laboratory will be gradually re-integrated on the basis of the original laboratory conditions of the college, further clarify the positioning and functions of each computer room, supplement the number and types of experimental equipment, and form a complete teaching system and experimental environment. Apple computer room

Apple computer room is located in 225N Yingjie Communication Center, with an area of 100 square meter. Apple computer room consists of Apple computer and corresponding software environment. The hardware part of Apple Computer Room consists of 4 1 Apple iMac all-in-one, 2 Apple Mac Pro workstations, 2 xServe servers and 1 xServeRAID disk arrays, with a storage capacity of 7TB. Apple computer room adopts Gigabit Ethernet as the network environment, and Apple open directory project user management mode provides application software services based on Apple Mac OS X platform and Microsoft Windows XP platform.

Non-linear knitting room

Non-editing laboratory is located in Beiping Building of the First Institute of Education. Is a relatively independent courtyard, in which the laboratory and equipment room covers an area of about 100 square meters. At present, there is a 12 professional graphics workstation, which can meet the needs of 12 project team for video editing at the same time. The graphics workstation adopts DELL PRECISION 490 model, and the CPU is dedicated to dual Xeon dual-core servers. It has powerful data processing capability, dedicated memory for 2G server, professional Canopus DV Strom XA nonlinear editing card, and dual LCD monitors. In addition to the storage space of 250G, this machine is also equipped with a disk array with a total capacity of 2.4T The dedicated server is responsible for managing media resources to meet the demand of mass storage of video data. Non-editors also have a number of professional DV cameras and some digital equipment, which mainly provide image recording and editing services for undergraduates majoring in radio and television news.
