Brief introduction of chemistry department of Nanjing University
The Department of Chemistry of Nanjing University was founded in 1920, which was formed by the merger of the Department of Chemistry of Central University and the Department of Chemistry of Jinling University. Its basic chemistry experiment teaching center has a long history. Its predecessor was the general chemistry laboratory founded by the famous chemist Li Hezhang in Nanjing Normal University in the early 1920s. In the following years, the laboratory trained a large number of outstanding chemists represented by 39 academicians.
