Dean's Medal and Outstanding Alumni Contribution Award

The Wharton Dean's Medal started at 1983, which is specially aimed at those outstanding enterprises, public services and academics. So far, four Chinese have won this honor. They are Ruoyu Mo, the founder of Huanmei Furniture. Lin Shaoliang, Chairman of Jakarta Linsan Group; Dr. Gu, honorary chairman of Taiwan Cement Co., Ltd., and Wang Daohan, former mayor of Shanghai.

The Wharton Outstanding Contribution Award was established at 1988 to recognize alumni's outstanding leadership in the professional field and their outstanding contributions to Wharton Business School. The winners represent Wharton's highest teaching standards and achievements, as well as the college's high hopes for graduates. * * * Four Chinese have won the award: Ruoyu Mo, founder of Huanmei Furniture; Li Chengyi, Chairman of Singapore Lee Foundation; Wang Xi, former vice president and chief representative of General Reinsurance Company; Zhang Xiaowei, Managing Director of Taiwan Province Mobile Limited.
