China University of Political Science and Law, known as "Law University" by alumni, "Zhongzheng/Deng Zhong University" by the rest of the population and "Changping Law Vocational College" by Heizai, is characterized by law. In order to improve the phenomenon of partial subjects, some majors have been added one after another, among which only German majors barely count as cheating. The remaining majors are more chicken ribs. Unless: ① you are eager for the name of this school; Can bear hardships, minor in law.

2. Hardware
(1) whole
Small, many places are smaller than super middle schools.
Instead, it is located in Changping District, outside the Sixth Ring Road in Beijing, near the Great Wall, 40 minutes' drive from Wudaokou, and the subway has not yet opened to the school gate. There is an upper-middle business center nearby.
Very shabby, the location of TV series and movies in the 1990s (really), and the latest teaching building is Yifu Building. There are few classrooms, a small library and air conditioning in the teaching building.
Campus greening is less, and the color tone is mainly khaki brick red. Of course, you can use other SLR photos to hit your face, but after professional and careful framing and processing, even ugly things have a stunning side. But I can say realistically that the campus of Fada is really not beautiful. Remember in the dark forest of three body 2, facing the huge hull built by Tang, what comes to mind first?
"Why do you look so old ..."
Yes, that's it.
(2) Live broadcast
Four boys' dormitories outside the school go to bed and get off the table, and the rest of the dormitories inside the school are six people. There are also four people in the school. There is basically no self-study space in the dormitory, no air conditioning, curfew, power failure and internet disconnection, and the internet speed is acceptable, and summer is extremely painful. Big bathhouse, 4 canteens with average taste.
(3) learning
In this way, a law major in a law university spent four years.
Freshman to sophomore, learning at a loss; In the last semester of my junior year, I began to struggle with my future way out: postgraduate entrance examination /LLM/ work; Junior year: preparing for the exam; Senior year: internship, job hunting/postgraduate entrance examination/preparation for LLM.
Other interviewees also mentioned that the number of people who choose to take the postgraduate entrance examination is very large, and many of them join the civil service after graduation. This does not explain how good the academic atmosphere of law is, but just exposes a shortcoming of the current law university: the lack of an official, systematic and unified course or institution to guide students' future choices after graduation.
Many people have been studying in a daze for several years. They don't know what they are studying for, or what their career plans are, so they follow suit and take the postgraduate entrance examination. In recent years, they have followed suit and studied LLM abroad.
The school didn't play a good guiding role (at least I didn't feel it), and everything was explored by myself. As the saying goes, "the master leads the door and practices in the individual." Although the significance of the university is to cultivate the spirit of independence, if there is a conscientious master, there will be fewer detours.

3. Software
(1) teacher
In law, there are many teachers and famous teachers, almost all of whom are very professional, but there are also many brain drain in recent years.
There is a big gap between the college English teacher and your high school English teacher in all aspects.
(2) Students
What you come into contact with here are all first-class students, which are similar to the first-class famous schools in China, and almost all the qualities you should have.
Almost here, the penalty point is narrow vision and weak comprehensive thinking. Students sometimes give me a feeling of innocence, treating the law as the sky. Once I jump out of this sky, I will die.
(3) Academic atmosphere
Academic here refers to "law", the atmosphere is good, the teachers' ideas are sharp and avant-garde, the activities organized by students are also related to law in all likelihood, and there are various debate contests and academic paper contests.
The rest, such as literature and art, natural science, etc. You can hardly find it here.
4. Influence
(1) domestic
Second only to Peking University and the National People's Congress, comparable to Tsinghua and Fudan. Some friends in the comments suggested that the ranking was wrong. This ranking is a summary of Zhihu, Tu Tu, Pintuo, Oasis and other websites' preference for the employment market of law graduates. The final impression is subjective and cannot fully represent the real data. Because the top students of Law University have the bias of taking postgraduate entrance examination and going abroad, it will also affect the overall level of graduates' choice of employment to a certain extent.
(2) International
Not bad, not as good as the students of Fudan University in Tsinghua, Peking University, and sometimes not as good as the National People's Congress.
5. If you are interested in studying law in CUPL, what kind of psychological preparation should you make?
Some time ago, I advised several college entrance examination students who wanted to study at Law University to study at China Communication University, Xiamen University, Sun Yat-sen University and other schools with the same level.
Why?
Because studying law is too difficult.
Because studying law in China University of Political Science and Law is too hard.
This major urgently needs the spirit of striving to acquire knowledge, the economic strength of going abroad, and the abundant energy to overcome difficulties in the early stage of employment. This school, open and closed, cutting-edge and backward, is neither successful nor defeated by law, nor is it kind to students.
Once you choose, there is no turning back, because there is almost no saying of changing majors here; And this school can't give you the green light all the way. It's more about fighting, learning, going out and fighting by yourself.
So ask yourself, do you have perseverance and self-control? Is there a clear career plan? Are you ready for the hardships in life? Are you really interested in law?
If you can affirm these things without hesitation, congratulations, you are a member of Daihatsu University.
