Division of professional categories
Professional categories are divided into: there are 13 disciplines in Chinese universities, namely: philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, military science, management and art.

1, philosophy: philosophy, logic, religion, ethics.

2. Economics: Economics, international economy and trade, finance, finance, national economic management, trade economy, insurance, financial engineering, taxation, credit management, network economics, sports economy, investment, environmental resources and development economics, and marine economics.

3. Law science, intellectual property rights and prison science.

4. History: History, World History, Archaeology, Museology, Ethnology, and Cultural Relics Protection Technology.

5. Mathematics: Mathematics and applied mathematics, information and computing science, and basic science of mathematics and physics.

6. Physics: physics, applied physics, acoustics, chemistry, chemistry, applied chemistry, chemical biology, molecular science and engineering.

Ad hoc major:

Ad hoc majors are established in recent years according to the characteristics of different universities or the special needs of personnel training. Ad hoc majors are often emerging majors with broad development potential. For example, financial mathematics, economic finance, electronic information science and technology, data science and big data technology are all featured majors.

The state controls the distribution of majors in order to control the number of students, which is related to social needs. These majors are generally very professional, and the social demand is relatively narrow, which needs to be controlled. For example, majors such as finance, law, navigation technology, marine engineering and clinical medicine are all controlled by the state.
