The peaceful liberation of Peiping is an event of great historical significance in the history of China's war of liberation. In this important political event, as the main representative of General Fu's peace talks, he participated in the whole process of negotiations on the peaceful liberation of Peiping. Regardless of his personal safety, he put the national justice first, went out of the city twice in disguise, participated in negotiations and initialled an agreement, and did a lot of work. Later, as one of the representatives of General Fu, he participated in the negotiations of Suiyuan peaceful uprising. From June 65438 to June 0949, he attended the first delegate meeting of China People's Political Consultative Conference as a special representative. He repeatedly asked to resume or rejoin the party. Soon the party organization considered the peaceful liberation of Beiping and the peaceful uprising of Suiyuan. In order to better unite the comrades outside the party to work together, it was considered appropriate for Comrade Zhou Beifeng not to join the party for the time being. Until March 1984, he finally realized his long-cherished wish and joined the China * * * Production Party.
Zhou Beifeng used to be the director of the Water Resources Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the vice chairman of CPPCC of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the vice chairman of the government and the deputy director of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), and was elected as the representative of the first to the seventh National People's Congress.
