Shenyang Normal University, located in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, is organized and managed by the Liaoning Provincial People's Government. It is a multidisciplinary university covering nine categories, such as philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, management and art, and was formerly known as Northeast Institute of Education.
The school was selected into the "Excellent Legal Talents Education and Training Plan" and "Excellent Teachers Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education. It is the first batch of pilot universities in the Ministry of Education to carry out comprehensive reform of professional degree postgraduate education and the second batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education.
1953 was renamed shenyang normal college; 1965 was renamed Liaoning first normal college; 1978 Restore the name of shenyang normal College. In 2002, Shenyang Normal University and Liaoning Institute of Education merged to form Shenyang Normal University.
