What are the compulsory courses for freshmen and sophomores in American universities?
There are no compulsory courses in American universities, they are all elective courses. No matter what courses you take, you can graduate as long as you have enough credits. Some schools have some major requirements for credits. For example, our school requires three courses in science, three in social science and three in humanities and arts (four years). But it can be seen that this category is also relatively broad. If you are not good at math, you can still graduate without taking the math test. Generally, schools will give full consideration to students' personalities and will not force you to learn things you don't like. Biology and nursing have relatively low requirements for mathematics. In some schools, this major may require you to take math classes, while in other schools, it is not.
