School introduction:

East China University of Political Science and Law is the first batch of institutions of higher learning of political science and law founded by China. 1In June, 952, with the approval of the East China Military Commission, the law departments, political departments and social departments of nine universities including St. John's University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Soochow University, Xiamen University, Hujiang University, Anhui University, Shanghai University and Aurora University merged, and East China University of Political Science and Law was established in the former site of St. John's University.

1958, the school was merged into Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences; 1963 rebuilt, enrolled students the following year; 1966 to stop enrollment, 1972 to cancel enrollment; 1March, 979, with the approval of the State Council, the school resumed classes for the second time. In March 2007, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was renamed East China University of Political Science and Law.

The school has more than 300 faculty members/kloc-0, and nearly 900 full-time teachers, including more than 400 senior professional and technical teachers. Three people were selected as cultural celebrities and "four groups" talents, four were awarded "Top Ten Outstanding Young Jurists in China", two were awarded "National Teachers of Teaching", five were awarded "National Excellent Teachers", and 1 person was awarded "National Advanced Worker".

1 person won the "National May 1st Labor Medal", 1 person was awarded the "National Outstanding Professional and Technical Talents", 1 person was awarded the "National Advanced Individual who Returned from Studying Abroad", 1 person was hired as the chief expert of "Junma Project", and 28 people enjoyed the "Special Government Allowance of the State Council", 6566.

2. International communication

The school has signed 385 agreements with 188 universities and institutions in 46 countries and regions, as well as eight international and regional organizations such as the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Asian Law Society and the European Law Firm Union. The school has established long-term cooperative relations with more than 70 legislative and legal service units such as Shanghai Yi Shi Law Firm, Guo Hao Law Firm and Tongli Law Firm.
