The Islamic Cathedral, azhar University, Azhar, founded in 972, is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in the world. It is the earliest university in the world after Kaluin University. It is nearly 200 years earlier than Bologna University, Oxford University and Cambridge University. It is an ancient institution of higher learning of Islam in Egypt. Azhar University adopts modern teaching methods in teaching, and the Institute of Technology has advanced laboratories and venues. The Agricultural College has a large farm, and the Medical College has five affiliated hospitals in Cairo alone for students to practice. The largest Hassan Hospital has 12 subjects and 400 beds. Azhar University is the second largest comprehensive university in Egypt, second only to Cairo University, and QS ranks among the top 750 in the world.
