It is a pleasure to study architecture in Tongji. There are many activities in the college, such as staying in a paper house for one night on construction day, building a wooden bridge during a class and then everyone has to walk over. Since my sophomore year, the assignments of professional courses are basically completed in groups, so we will travel around with a group of good friends, do research in parks, and take photos and analyze scenic spots.
Painting is still very tiring, especially on the eve of painting. It's really sad everywhere. Basically, I have to stay up late to catch up with the drawings With a slight modification, I feel that the default unit for talking to people is millimeters. However, the sense of accomplishment after handing in the picture is still great.
In fact, for me, what I like very much is the debate atmosphere of Tongji architecture. Since freshman year, students have been asking this question, "Why is the alley so shabby but beautifully painted?"? Are we blinded by architectural thinking? " And the teacher will answer from the perspective of art history and aesthetics. It seems that this kind of class is not available in every school, and I must say that the homework I learn the most is not the homework with the highest personal score, but the homework that everyone discusses the most.
As the saying goes, the more you argue, the more you understand. Defense is a very useful thinking training. It is common for everyone to be inspired by different knowledge and horizons. The students in my class are more interesting. Topics discussed after class range from philosophy to mystery novels. I probably got into the habit of using the term clean. However, I want to find out the origin and evolution of any misuse and misuse of terms, which is sometimes annoying, but I firmly believe that this habit will benefit people who are rigorous in research for life.
So, for me, studying architecture means that my body is tired, but my mind is happy. And in Tongji, it's great to have a group of friends like me who like architecture to study together.
