The Second Gate is the earliest main gate in Tsinghua, which was built at 1909. 1933 campus expansion, the garden wall moved outward, and the new gate was added, that is, the west gate. Since then, this earliest school gate has been called the second school gate. Spring, summer, autumn and winter, year after year, time flies, standing on the main road and the second school gate of the campus, silently witnessing the history and development of Tsinghua in the storm. It is not only a distinctive symbol of Tsinghua campus, but also a symbol of Tsinghua people's long-term hard work and pragmatic character.

The milky white stone gate shines in the sun, and the smooth radian in the longitudinal direction is perfectly combined with the square lines in the transverse direction, revealing the beautiful and solemn beauty. This stone gate was originally the palace of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, the grand palace gate of Tsinghua campus, and the word Tsinghua campus above the stone gate was written by Na Tong, then Minister of Military Affairs and main hall. Strolling through the stone gate, the trees along the road are lush and mottled.
