Qingdao University of Science and Technology, founded in 1950, [1] is located in Qingdao, Shandong Province. It is a key university directly under the former Ministry of Chemical Industry [2], the first university in China to offer rubber specialty [3], and the only university in Asia [4]. It was praised by the society as its predecessor, Shenyang Light Industry Higher Vocational School, and was renamed in 2002. This school has been selected into the national "11plan", and it is the first batch of selected universities in the national "excellent engineer education and training plan" and "new engineering research and practice project". Once affiliated to the Ministry of Light Industry and the Ministry of Chemical Industry, it is now a key university in Shandong Province and a prestigious school for cultivating applied basic talents in Shandong Province. It was rated as "excellent university in undergraduate teaching evaluation" by the Ministry of Education, and Shandong Institute of Chemical Technology was established with the approval of Shandong Provincial People's Government on 1958, and the process of formally holding higher education began. 1984 was renamed Qingdao Institute of Chemical Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and 1998 was transferred to Shandong Province by the Ministry of Chemical Industry. In 2006, it was merged into Qingdao Arts and Crafts School with 5438+0.
