The main ways of college students' self-cognition
The four aspects of self-cognition are: self-understanding, others' evaluation, social feedback and self-reflection.

1, self-understanding

Understand your physical, psychological and social situation from your own body, ability, advantages and disadvantages. Physically, height or appearance can lead to psychological feelings such as inferiority or self-confidence. In the face of these emotions, whether we have thought or want to adjust, we can also score our interpersonal communication from our social behavior.

2, others' evaluation

Looking at a thing from only one angle is often incomplete. We should absorb and listen to others' comments on ourselves and analyze what kind of person we are from multiple angles. Only in this way can we understand a more three-dimensional self, so as to plan and control our own advantages and disadvantages.

3. Social feedback

Although the evaluation and self-knowledge of others have been able to produce a three-dimensional and objective self-knowledge, this objectivity will be accompanied by personal subjective emotions, so there are still some defects. We can choose a group of people with the same social stage to compare ourselves.

4. Reflection and summary

As the old saying goes, reflecting on yourself three times a day is the last step to know yourself. We can know ourselves through the above three aspects, but we still need to make a summary of our own personality and other aspects. When we have a comprehensive understanding of ourselves, we only need to make a final summary, and a fresh self will appear.

Expand knowledge:

My cognition, also called self-consciousness, is a state of consciousness. Selfishness, self-confidence and conceit are all conscious psychological phenomena. Self-criticism is a kind of higher self-cognition, which consciously improves one's consciousness. On the premise of self-criticism, self-development forms the ascending thinking logic of negation of negation, which develops from human instinctive consciousness to human unique behavior.
