Foreign academician

Foreign academicians are elected every two years by the Academician Conference of China Academy of Engineering. Candidates for foreign academicians must be nominated by not less than 5 academicians; Each co-election, each academician can propose up to two candidates; Official candidates for foreign academicians shall be determined by the presidium of China Academy of Engineering through secret ballot; The election of foreign academicians shall be conducted by the general assembly of academicians by equal secret ballot; The number of academicians participating in the voting reaches or exceeds two-thirds of the number of academicians who should vote, and the election is valid; Two-thirds of academicians who received more than the affirmative votes were elected.
