First, school profile:
Shandong University of Technology, abbreviated as Shanda, is located in Zibo City, Shandong Province. It is a high-level university construction unit in Shandong Province, which is jointly built by the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau and the Shandong Provincial People's Government, focusing on science and engineering and developing in a coordinated way. It has been selected as the pilot unit of the National Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program, the national intellectual property pilot university, and the transformation and technology transfer base of scientific and technological achievements in colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education.
The school was formed by the merger of Shandong Institute of Technology and Zibo College. 1956 was founded by Jinan Agricultural Mechanization School in Shandong Province, upgraded to Shandong Agricultural Mechanization College, 1990 was renamed Shandong Engineering College, and 1998 was established as Zibo College, including Shandong Building Materials Industry College Branch, Zibo University, Zibo Teachers College, Zibo Staff University and Zibo Radio and TV University.
As of February, 2023, the school has two campuses, covering an area of 3,600 mu, with a building area of 1/kloc-0.7 million square meters, a library of 3.443 million books, 8.482 million electronic books and periodicals, teaching and research instruments and equipment with a total value of 767 million yuan, 27 colleges, 26 school-level research institutes and 3 post-doctoral research mobile stations.
Second, cooperation and exchanges:
By February, 2023, the school had established friendly cooperative relations with 125 universities and scientific research institutions in 33 countries, including the United States, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea, and there were three Sino-foreign cooperative undergraduate programs, namely, the national innovative talents international cooperation training program universities and the China government scholarship institutions for training international students in China.
The school has passed the quality certification of education for studying in China by national institutions of higher learning, with 38 10 students studying in China, and has established 17 international cooperation joint laboratories and research centers with universities and research institutions such as Harper Adams University in Britain and European College of Science, Arts and Humanities in France.
