Do college students have to do military service?
According to the principle of voluntariness, there is no compulsory requirement for college students to perform military service, but military service registration should be conducted according to law.

Military service registration is basically something that every college student needs to do. After military service registration, there is no need for military service, which is a personal honor. It is a kind of reminding education, combined with military training in colleges and universities, mainly to increase the national defense awareness of freshmen. The armed forces department of the school will check the military service certificate of freshmen, but from the perspective of humanization, freshmen who fail to apply for military service certificates in time can also go through the entrance formalities first and then reissue their military service certificates after entering the school.

There are four conditions for being a soldier:

1, graduated from junior high school or above, and non-agricultural registered permanent residence should have graduated from high school or above;

2. Boys should be 18 to 20 years old, young people with high school education or above, employees of enterprises and institutions can be relaxed to 2 1 year old, and college education or above can be relaxed to 22 years old; Young women should be 18 to 19 years old;

3. Physical examination adds psychological test;

4. Male height is not less than162 cm; ; Female height is not less than 160cm.

Article 13

The state practices the military service registration system. Before December 31st each year, male citizens who have reached the age of eighteen shall, in accordance with the arrangements of the military service organs of counties, autonomous counties, cities and municipal districts, conduct military service registration before June 30th of that year. Those who pass the preliminary examination in military service registration are called eligible citizens.

Article 14

During the period of conscription, citizens eligible for enlistment shall, in accordance with the notice of the military service organs of counties, autonomous counties, cities and municipal districts, go to the designated physical examination stations for physical examination on time.

Citizens who meet the conditions for active service shall be enlisted for active service with the approval of the military service organs of counties, autonomous counties, cities and municipal districts.
