Zhengzhou University, referred to as "Zheng Da" for short, is located in Zhengzhou and is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Henan Provincial People's Government. It is a world-class university construction university, a national key construction university of "2 1 1 Project" and "One University in One Province", and has been selected into the national "20 1 1 Plan" and the national high level.

The school has 9 key laboratories of the Ministry of Education, engineering research centers and key research bases of humanities and social sciences. It has seven provincial-level collaborative innovation centers, including water conservancy and traffic infrastructure safety protection.

In 20021June, Zhengzhou University and other 12 units were selected as the collaborative innovation platform of "Ancient Chinese Characters and Chinese Civilization Inheritance and Development Project".

Examples of major achievements

Shen Changyu: "Key Mechanical Problems and Calculation Methods in Mould Design of Rubber and Plastic Products" won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.

Shen Changyu: In 2007, he won the "Outstanding Contribution Award of China Manned Space Project" for developing astronaut window products with high impact resistance, radiation protection and high spectral transmittance under special environment.

Liu Minshan and Dong: The research and application of modern design technology of new high-efficiency tandem shell-side heat exchanger won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress.
