In terms of discipline construction, the School of Education Science of Tianjin Normal University has two first-class disciplines, namely, national key discipline development and educational psychology, pedagogy and psychology, and one of the "humanities and social sciences 100 key research bases of the Ministry of Education"-Institute of Psychology and Behavior. At present, the college has the right to award doctoral degrees in pedagogy and psychology, master degrees in pedagogy and psychology, and professional degrees in pedagogy and applied psychology. The first-level discipline of psychology consists of three majors: basic psychology, developmental and educational psychology and applied psychology. At present, there are more than 400 full-time graduate students. In terms of personnel training, the college has departments of education, preschool education, psychology and educational technology. After years of construction, the college has become a teaching and research unit integrating doctoral, master's and undergraduate education, forming a relatively complete talent training system. In terms of scientific research, in the past three years, the college has undertaken more than 40 major research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation, the Social Science Foundation, the Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and cooperation projects between enterprises and institutions, and published 12 high-level works.
