Liuzhou University has six schools.

"Up to now, Liuzhou has six universities including Guangxi University of Science and Technology, Liuzhou Institute of Technology, Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College, Guangxi Ecological Engineering Vocational and Technical College, Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College and Liuzhou City Vocational College.

Liuzhou Institute of Technology is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education.

The school was founded in 2002, and its predecessor was Lushan College of Guangxi University of Science and Technology jointly organized by Liuzhou Municipal Government and Guangxi University of Science and Technology. In April 2020, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was transformed into an ordinary full-time undergraduate college and renamed Liuzhou Institute of Technology.
