University history

The history of the School of Bioengineering of East China University of Science and Technology originated from the specialty of antibiotic manufacturing engineering established in 1955. From 65438 to 0972, the biology department of Shanghai University of Science and Technology transferred to another school. 1982, Department of Biochemical Engineering was established. 1986, enrolling students majoring in food science and engineering. 1996, bioengineering college was established.
