1924, Professor Ueno Rongsaburo of the Agricultural Department of Imperial University of Tokyo (now University of Tokyo) began to raise this Akita dog and named it Hachiko. "Hachi" will follow Professor Ueno to the train station to take him to work every day and pick him up at Shibuya Station in the evening. 1925 in may, professor ueno died of illness, but hachi still went to the station every day to wait for his master to return, and died in 1935 in March. It waited 10 years until the last moment of its life, but it still failed to wait for the return of its owner. This story has been reported by the media and is widely known. People call it the loyal dog hachi.
20 15 years coincides with the 90th anniversary of Professor Ueno's death. The Department of Agriculture of the University of Tokyo specially made a statue of Hachi's master as a souvenir. I saw Hachi jump up and jump on Professor Ueno, just like meeting again after a long separation. I was so excited.
