Efficiency of Nat. Comm perovskite light-emitting diode of Shanghai University reaches 20.5%.
Quasi-two-dimensional perovskite thin films prepared from mesylate have milder energy transfer, which leads to efficient light-emitting diode devices.

Yang Xuyong of Shanghai University and Andrey L. Rogach of City University of Hong Kong reported that the current efficiency of the quasi-two-dimensional perovskite Ba2csn-1ppbnbr3n+1prepared by introducing methanesulfonate into the precursor solution reached 63 cd A- 1, and the maximum external quantum efficiency reached 20.5%, which is the highest efficiency of the quasi-two-dimensional perovskite green light-emitting diode reported at present. It is found that Lewis base rich in electrons in mesylate can eliminate unpaired Pb and reduce the blocking effect of adsorbate. The interaction between -SO3 in mesylate and spacer butylamine leads to the increase of large N phase distribution.

This work has a guiding role in preparing the next generation of high-performance quasi-two-dimensional perovskite light-emitting diodes.
