The new Tsinghua Tang Xue Grand Theatre has reached the standard of a professional theater, and its acoustic effect can be comparable to that of the National Grand Theatre. It is a comprehensive theater with the largest number of seats and the most advanced technology in Tsinghua University. Donated by four alumni, Chi Yufeng, Xu Hang, Song Ge and Fangfang, Academician Li Daozeng of the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University served as the chief designer, Professor Wang Weiyu presided over the interior design and Professor Shi Huibin presided over the architectural acoustics design. There are performance hall, rehearsal hall, multi-function hall, dressing room, reception room and other supporting facilities in the venue. Among them, the performance hall has a pool seat and a two-story building with 20 1 1 seat. The stage is equipped with a double-sided stage. The entrance of the main stage is18m wide and1/0.5m high. This lifting orchestra can accommodate a band of 100 people. According to professional requirements, it is equipped with lighting, acoustics, stage machinery and sound insulation covers, which are used to hold high-level professional performances such as large-scale concerts, operas and dance dramas, as well as various large-scale conferences, lectures and academic exchange activities.

Tang Xue Grand Theatre in New Tsinghua is an important cultural facility built during the centennial celebration of Tsinghua University. Since its completion in April, 20 1 1, national first-class performance groups such as China Philharmonic Orchestra, National Peking Opera Theatre, China National Symphony Orchestra, Central Opera House, Central Ballet, Central National Orchestra, Air Administration Art Troupe, and National Theatre have successively presented classic works here. Mr. Liu Jinshan, a national first-class actor, spoke highly of the acoustic effect of the New Tsinghua School Grand Theatre. He thinks that the New Tsinghua School has a good sound collection effect, which is very suitable for drama performances with language as the main form of expression. "The audience sitting on the second and third floors, their perspective is relatively biased, and they didn't quit halfway, which shows that they can hear what the actors are saying clearly, which confirms the acoustic effect of the New Tsinghua School from the side."
