Shanxi University is currently located in the capital of Shanxi Province. Its predecessor can be traced back to Shanxi University Hall founded by 1902. It is also one of the first three national universities in China. Together with Shi Jing University Hall and Beiyang University Hall, it initiated a new era in the development of modern higher education in China and was the highest institution of higher learning in the late Qing Dynasty. Shanxi University was split during the adjustment of departments in 1952, and many departments were merged into many key universities in China, becoming their strong departments.

Henan University is currently located in Kaifeng City, Henan Province, and also has a campus in Zhengzhou City, the provincial capital. The experience of Hoda University is similar to that of Laoshan University, and even worse. The school originated from the preparatory school for studying in Europe and America in Henan Province and was founded in 19 12. It was the fifth national Sun Yat-sen University. The school was divided into two times, and the result was 14 university. Today, Henan University only inherits the literature part of Laohe University, which is not as good as Shanxi University.

Comparison between two schools

Shanxi University and Henan University once had a glorious history, and now their strength is not much different. The comprehensive strength of Henan University is slightly stronger, and there are many B+ disciplines. In the "double first-class" construction, Henan University is the first batch of double first-class universities, and Shanxi University is the second round of double first-class universities.

In the fourth round of discipline evaluation, neither university has a class A discipline, and it was not included in the construction of "2 1 1" before. The academic strength and comprehensive strength are not in the forefront of "double first-class" universities. If the "double first-class" universities are divided into three levels, Shanxi University and Henan University should belong to the lower-level double first-class universities. The comprehensive strength can be ranked around 100 in universities across the country.
