On April 9, 2020, the Ministry of Education issued the Reply on Agreeing to the Construction of Zhuhai Campus of Beijing Normal University (hereinafter referred to as the Reply). According to the plan, after Zhuhai Campus started enrolling students, Zhuhai Campus of Beijing Normal University will reduce the enrollment plan year by year, stop enrolling students in 202 1 year and stop running schools in 2024.

Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Campus was founded on 200 1. Approved by the Ministry of Education, Beijing Normal University and Zhuhai Municipal People's Government jointly provide full-time colleges and universities with undergraduate education.
