Duanmu Zheng195/KLOC-0 joined the work in May, and 1953 joined the China Democratic League in March. He has successively studied in the Department of Political Science of Wuhan University, the Institute of Law of Tsinghua University Research Institute, the Law School of Paris University, the Advanced International Law School of Paris University and the Institute of Political Science of North China People's Revolutionary University, and obtained bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees in law. 1990-2000 served as vice president of the Supreme People's Court (deputy minister level) and member of the judicial Committee; 1993 was appointed as an arbitrator of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague by China. Comrade Zheng Duanmu is a deputy to the Sixth Guangdong Provincial People's Congress, a member of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), a deputy to the Seventh National People's Congress and deputy director of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC). Deputies to the Seventh and Eighth National People's Congress; Member of the Second to Fourth China People's Political Consultative Conference; Standing Committee of the Eighth National Congress of Guangdong Province and Chairman of the Ninth National Congress of the Democratic League; China Democratic League, a member of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the Sixth Central Committee, holds concurrent positions in various academic institutions, and has made profound achievements in law, history and political science. He has published 20 kinds of translations and works (individual or collective), published more than 60 articles and translations at home and abroad, and visited France, the Netherlands, the United States, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Italy, Mongolia, Thailand, Turkey, the Philippines and other countries. He is a famous expert in international law. 1985 was appointed by the national people's congress as a member of the drafting Committee of the basic law of the hong kong special administrative region and participated in the formulation of the basic law of hong kong. During his tenure as Vice President of the Supreme People's Court and member of the Judicial Committee, Comrade Zheng Duanmu devoted himself to enhancing judicial ability, improving the overall quality of judges and promoting judicial reform, and made painstaking efforts and contributions to the construction of democracy and legal system and the improvement of judicial level in China.
