Professor Gao Shou Hui, an early academic leader, as the main researcher of "Establishment of Sand Prevention and Shelterbelt System in Shapotou Section of Baolan Railway", won the National Special Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress 1988. Professor Chang Peiying, winner of the National May 1st Labor Medal, has developed a "plant survival promoter-Genbao" for improving root activity and afforestation effect on arid sunny slopes for many years, which was rated as a national new product by five ministries and commissions, and won the fourth prize of national technological invention with 1996. "SV high-efficiency organic-inorganic compound fertilizer" developed by Professor Ahu、Yue was included in the national key new product plan in 2000, and it was widely popularized and applied nationwide. Teachers majoring in forestry have successively presided over 6 national natural fund projects, 2 national key science and technology projects, outstanding young teachers' fund projects of the Ministry of Education and a number of provincial and ministerial natural funds and key science and technology projects.
