Chongqing Normal University, founded in 1954, is a full-time comprehensive undergraduate college organized by Chongqing Municipal People's Government and one of the important bases for teacher education in the western region. Its school history originated from the official East Sichuan Normal School in 1906. The school 1986 awarded the master's degree and changed its name to Chongqing Normal University in 2003.
