Brief introduction of Xiamen University
Xiamen University was founded in 192 1 by Mr. Chen Jiageng, a famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader. It is the first university founded by overseas Chinese in the history of modern education in China. Most of its old buildings were built by Mr. Chen Jiageng's son-in-law, especially the South Auditorium and Bypass, which are quite magnificent. Xiamen University is known as one of the most beautiful universities in China. You can see the sea by opening the dormitory window. The campus is shaded by trees, so it is comfortable to walk or read under the trees. ?
Must-visit places include Furong Lake, Lover Valley, Shangxianchang and Furong Tunnel. Finally, you can go out from Baicheng Xiaomen (also called North Gate) and visit Baicheng Beach. The former treasures cultural relics related to human beings and their development from prehistoric times to modern times, especially those reflecting the cultures of southern Fujian and Taiwan Province Province, as well as the exchanges between ancient Fujian and foreign countries, especially the historical relics of Quanzhou's overseas transportation, which are of great characteristics and value.
