In 1980s, responsible comrades of the Ministry of Education pointed out that the cultural relics of Hebei University were among the best in both quantity and quality in the national cultural relics collection after visiting the cultural relics room of the former Department of History. The collection of biological specimens is more distinctive. The herbarium covers 26 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, including Taiwan Province Province. There are also many foreign exchange specimens, with a total reserve of 256,233 and a value of 65.438+0.3 billion yuan (assessed by experts), including 26.5438+0.00 million insect specimens, nearly 20,000 spider specimens and the rest vertebrate specimens. Among vertebrate specimens, there are dozens of rare animals in the world, including national first-class protected animals 19, second-class protected animals 62, third-class protected animals 72, provincial protected animals 34, and more importantly, 422 model specimens with thousands of pieces. There are more than 0/000 named specimens/kloc-,forming a distinct animal evolution system, and it is one of the museums with more animal specimens and stronger research strength in domestic universities.
Dry specimen set
There are more than 3,000 species in herbarium, including dozens of world and international protected plants and endangered plants, some of which are endemic to Hebei University. Most of them are left over from the period of business school, and are collected by the relevant teachers of the Department of Protobiology in person or by instructing students. The main features are Compositae and Leguminosae specimens and medicinal plants in Hebei Province, among which Beijing and Hebei specimens are relatively complete; There are also some southern specimens collected by Zhong Guangguan in his early years, as well as some voucher specimens of Flora of Zhili, Flora of Beijing and Flora of Hebei. There are also some models of Aristolochia. Herbarium has long lacked classification and needs to be improved urgently.

Especially in locusts, spiders, flies and scorpions, it can be said that it is second to none in the country, and famous scorpions such as Tibet are located in Hebei University. Except for a few historical remains, the first batch of insect specimens owned by Hebei University was brought by Ren/kloc-0 in 1996, with 58,000 specimens, mainly distributed in desert and semi-desert areas of China, with 2,000 species named, COLEOPTERA as the dominant species, among which the collection and research work of Tenebrionidae ranks first in China, with more than 900 species and 6,544 specimens. The second batch of spider specimens was brought by Song Daxiang and Zhu Yu when they were introduced from 199 in 1999, accounting for 50,000 species, involving 7 orders, 63 families 1600 species.
