One is to enter the product design department of the enterprise and engage in specific product design work. Most of these enterprises are foreign companies and well-known brands. Because China's industrial design industry is still very immature. Industrial design has been developed for more than one hundred years in western countries, but it only started in China in recent twenty years. Many enterprises don't realize the value of design to enterprises. Small and medium-sized enterprises mostly follow the process of plagiarism-production-sales, and hardly need the participation of designers. Make some minor changes in appearance at most. This involves China's industrial model, which is another matter. This kind of employment requirements are generally higher and the treatment is very good.

The second is to enter some design studios. As mentioned earlier, industrial design started late in China, and now the industry is also very chaotic. All kinds of studios, the level is uneven, there is no industry regulation. Most of them learn from foreign operating models. Such studios often do everything from corporate image design, website design, graphic design to product design. The chaos in the industry directly leads many studios to fight price wars and sell designs cheaply, and only wait for the industry to mature.

The third is to open your own studio. What I want to say is similar to the last one. The government's preferential policies are still very good, with relatively large financial support. However, starting a business is not difficult.

In addition, regarding the so-called "high turnover rate". As far as I know, there are two reasons for the high turnover rate.

First, the domestic industrial design industry has a high demand for talents. Moreover, industry talents are extremely scarce.

Second, this major has learned a lot and is very practical. So it's easier to change careers. Printing, web pages, interaction, and even marketing. In fact, the employment of industrial design major is still relatively wide.

Finally, this major is suitable for people with innovative ability and divergent thinking. That is, extroverted and energetic people in general.
