College of Science and Technology of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a public full-time undergraduate independent college sponsored by Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and approved by the Ministry of Education.

Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a university jointly established by state administration of traditional chinese medicine and Jiangxi Provincial People's Government. It is a national doctoral degree authorized unit, and it is designated by the Central United Front Work Department, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Education to support universities in the western region.

The history of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine can be traced back to 195 1 Jiangxi Pharmaceutical College and 1953 Jiangxi School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Jiangxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established in1959; 1969 in may, the school merged with Jiangxi medical college to form Jiangxi medical university; 1March, 973, with the approval of the State Council, Jiangxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was restored on the basis of Jiangxi College of Pharmacy; 20 13 was renamed Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
