There are 14 professional undergraduate physical education colleges in China.

Famous sports schools include Beijing Sport University, Shanghai Sport University, Shenyang Sport University, Wuhan Sport University and Guangzhou Sport University.

1, Beijing Sport University

Beijing Sport University, referred to as Beijing Sport University for short, is directly under the State Sports General Administration. It is the first batch of national key universities, the first batch of "world-class discipline construction universities" and the national "2 1 1 project" established in the State Council after the founding of New China.

2. Shanghai Institute of Physical Education

Shanghai Institute of Physical Education, referred to as "Shangti" for short, is an ordinary college of physical education managed by the State Sports General Administration and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the first batch of world-class discipline construction universities in China, and the pilot construction unit of high-level local universities in Shanghai.

3. Shenyang Institute of Physical Education

Shenyang Institute of Physical Education is one of the earliest physical education institutions established in New China. Formerly known as Northeast Institute of Physical Education, it was founded in 1954 and was originally affiliated to the State Sports Commission (State Sports General Administration). It is the only sports-oriented, multi-disciplinary and multi-professional college of higher learning in Liaoning Province, which is jointly funded by the central and local governments.

4. Wuhan Institute of Physical Education

Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, formerly known as Central South Institute of Physical Education, is one of the first independent full-time ordinary colleges and universities in New China. In September of 20001year, it was changed to a public institution established by the State Sports General Administration and the Hubei Provincial People's Government.

5. Guangzhou Institute of Sport

Guangzhou Institute of Physical Education, founded in July 1956, is the only undergraduate physical education institution in South China, and one of the earlier institutions specializing in physical education in China since the founding of the People's Republic of China, which is subordinate to the Guangdong Provincial People's Government.
