The former site of Nanjing University, located at No.2 Sipailou, Nanjing and Songbaipo, Chongqing, also known as the former site of National Central University, is a national key cultural relics protection unit. During the Anti-Japanese War, Nanjing University moved to Chongqing and other places to run schools, and moved back to Nanjing after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. 1945. 1April 23, 949, Nanjing was liberated; On May 7, Nanjing Military Management Committee took over the National Central University; On August 8, "National Central University" was renamed as "National Nanjing University"; On June 10 of the following year, after receiving the notice from the Ministry of Education of East China Military Commission, the name of the school was changed to "National" and called "Nanjing University". During the period of 1952, the departments of colleges and universities in China were adjusted, and Nanjing University moved its campus from Sipailou to Jinling University.
