According to official website of Shenzhen Vocational and Technical University, Shenzhen Vocational and Technical University is neither one nor two. It is a public undergraduate vocational college. In June 2023, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Shenzhen Vocational and Technical University by integrating resources based on shenzhen polytechnic. Since the Ministry of Education issued and implemented the "Standards for the Establishment of Vocational Schools at Undergraduate Level (Trial)", it has become the first vocational school at undergraduate level with high-quality "double high" schools.
