The Cancer Center of Sun Yat-sen University is a national key discipline (oncology), a national key laboratory (South China State Key Laboratory of Oncology), a key laboratory of the Ministry of Education, a key laboratory of Guangdong Province, the first national clinical experimental research base of anticancer drugs (GCP Center), China Cancer Center of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, a doctoral degree authorization point, a postdoctoral research mobile station and a supporting unit of Guangdong Anti-cancer Association.
The center has a high-level medical teaching and research team, including more than 70 senior professional titles1person, 2 academicians of China Academy of Sciences, 36 doctoral supervisors, 73 master supervisors and 35 graduate students1person. The multidisciplinary development of the Center is at the leading level in China, and it is the chairman of the professional committee of minimally invasive treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, chemotherapy, colorectal cancer, neurotumor and tumor of China Anti-Cancer Association.
