Incorporate military service into the graduate selection index system: Encourage colleges and universities that recommend outstanding undergraduates to study for graduate students without examination to incorporate military service into the graduate selection index system in light of the specific conditions of the school when formulating graduate selection methods. Retired personnel who have won second-class merit and above in the army and meet the requirements for postgraduate registration may study for a master's degree without examination (preliminary examination).
3. Expand the scope of extra points for postgraduate entrance examination to students and freshmen in colleges and universities: On the basis of continuing to implement the policy of extra points for fresh college graduates after retirement, students and freshmen in colleges and universities who have been recruited for compulsory military service will take the national postgraduate entrance examination within three years after completing their undergraduate studies, with a total score of 10, giving priority to admission under the same conditions.
Legal basis: Article 59 of 20 19 National Regulations on the Enrollment of Postgraduates. Candidates who have completed their service within three years and passed the examination to take the national postgraduate entrance examination have a total score of 10, under the same conditions.
After college students are enlisted for compulsory military service and retired, candidates who take the national postgraduate entrance examination within three years will get a score of 10, which will be given priority under the same conditions. Those who have been recruited into the special program of "Retired College Soldiers" will no longer enjoy the policy of adding points to the initial test of retired college soldiers. Those who have won the second class in the army and meet the requirements of the national postgraduate entrance examination may apply for exemption (preliminary examination) for postgraduate study.
