The main campus of North China Electric Power University is located at No.2 Bei Nong Road, Huilongguan, Changping District, Beijing, and there are two campuses in Baoding, Hebei Province, which are located at No.619 Yonghua North Street and No.689 Huadian Road, Baoding, Hebei Province. North China Electric Power University is called NCEPU for short. At present, the school covers an area of 1.600 mu, with 24,503 full-time undergraduates, 865,438 full-time masters and 65,438 doctoral students plus 0.21.004 foreign students.

School 1958 was founded in Beijing, formerly known as Beijing Electric Power Institute. Later, on 1970, it moved to Baoding and changed its name to Hebei Electric Power Institute. 1995, North China Electric Power University and Beijing Institute of Electric Power Economics merged to form North China Electric Power University. From June 5438 to October 2005 10, the school headquarters was changed from Baoding to Beijing, and the Baoding campus of North China Electric Power University was established separately, and the two places were managed in an integrated manner.

The school has 14 professional college, as well as international education college, continuing education college and physical education department; There are also 64 undergraduate majors, covering 7 disciplines.
