At present, the school has six colleges, including Hubble College of Arts and Sciences, School of Engineering and Applied Science, School of Management, School of Education, School of Nursing and School of Public Affairs. Hapl College of Arts and Sciences is the oldest and largest teaching institution in Binghamton University. At present, * * * has 29 departments offering 12 degrees, spanning humanities, arts, natural and social sciences, mathematics and other disciplines. Thomas J. Watson Institute of Engineering and Applied Science is the fastest-growing college in the school. Recently, innovation and technology research centers have been established, including the most popular biotechnology research institute. The School of Management is a college in Binghamton University which is difficult to apply for and has a high admission threshold. More than two-thirds of the students in the School of Management graduated from high school with the top five percent of their classes. The establishment of the Graduate School of Education, Dacker College of Nursing, School of Community and Public Affairs and School of Pharmacy of Binghamton University is under planning, and it is expected to start on 20 17. Thomas John Watson was an important figure in the founding of Binghamton University. As the founder of IBM in Bloomshire, Watson believes that the region has great potential. In the early 1940s, in cooperation with a group of local leaders, he initiated the establishment of Triple City College (affiliated to Syracuse University), which later evolved into Harper College and finally became Binghamton University today. The land donated by Watson is located near endicott, the birthplace of IBM. 1954, the school moved from endicott to Vesta. 1967 Established the Institute of Advanced Technology, which is the predecessor of thomas watson College of Binghamton University.
