Civil engineering is one of the earliest specialties offered by Huaqiao University. Its predecessor, industrial and civil architecture, was founded in 1964, and 1993 was renamed as architectural engineering. 1997 passed the second batch of national college education evaluation of "architectural engineering" (one of the first batch of schools 18 passed the evaluation), and passed the national college education evaluation of "civil engineering" again in 2002.
engineering management major
The College of Civil Engineering opened the real estate management major in 1994. Relying on the strong technical background of civil engineering, graduates are very popular in the real estate field, and professional education has developed rapidly. 1999, this major was broadened to engineering management major. In 2005, it successfully passed the education evaluation of engineering management major of the Ministry of Construction and became one of the national 14 universities. Combined with the reality and characteristics of our school, this major has two major directions: the direction of project management and the direction of real estate management.
