Northwest university of politics and law, located in Xi City, Shaanxi Province, China, is a comprehensive university with the characteristics of law and the coordinated development of philosophy, economy, management and literature. This school has a long history. Founded in 1952, formerly Shaanxi University of Political Science and Law, 1985 was upgraded to an institution of higher learning and renamed northwest university of politics and law.
1998 was upgraded to a university and named northwest university of politics and law. At present, the school has become the first-class university of political science and law in China, the first batch of universities in China to implement the education and training plan for outstanding legal talents, and the first-class discipline construction university in Shaanxi Province.
The school has a strong faculty, with nearly 2000 faculty members, including nearly 400 professors and associate professors.
