Nankai University (hereinafter referred to as Nankai University, Nanda University and NKU), formerly known as private Nankai University, was founded by China's famous modern educators Yan Xiu and Zhang Boling. It started at 1904 and was established at 19 19. Arts, science and business were set up when the school was founded, and then it developed into a comprehensive university. At present, the legal address of Nankai University is No.94 Weijin Road, Nankai District, Tianjin. It is a key comprehensive research university directly under the National 985 Project, 21KLOC-0/Engineering and Ministry of Education. The school has Balitai Campus, Jinnan Campus and TEDA Campus.

In the 20 12 discipline evaluation of the degree center of the Ministry of Education, 20 of the 29 disciplines of Nankai University rank in the top ten in China, among which humanities, social sciences and science rank higher. In the ranking of China University in 20 14 published by Wu Shulian, Nankai University ranked 14. 20 16 in July, the nature index 20 16 published by Nature magazine showed that Nankai University, as the fastest-growing scientific research institution in the world, ranked fifth among scientific research institutions in China and fourth among universities.

Worldwide, the academic ranking of world universities sponsored by Shanghai Jiaotong University ranked Nankai University between 30 1-400 in 20 14. In the 20 15 QS ranking of universities, Nankai University ranks 277th and Chinese mainland University ranks 10. According to the natural index published by Nature in 20 16, Nankai University ranked 50th in the world and 7th in China.
