Brief introduction of the author
Zhou Xueguang, Ph.D. in Sociology, Stanford University, USA. At present, he is Professor of Sociology at Stanford University, Adjunct Professor of Sociology at Tsinghua University, Head of the Department of Organization and Management at the Business School of HKUST, and Visiting Professor of Sociology at Peking University.
His major works include Ten Lectures on Organizational Sociology (2003), The State and Life Opportunities in China Cities: Redistribution and Stratification (1949- 1994)(2004), and he co-authored Dynamics of Rules: Changes of Written Organizational Codes (2000).
