Chengdu Universiade is the highest level sports event for college students and an important part of college students' sports. The tournament is scheduled to be held in Chengdu, Sichuan, China from July 28th to August 8th, 2023. A total of 6,500 athletes from basketball, volleyball, track and field, swimming, etc. 18 and 269 events, 1 13 countries and regions signed up for the competition.
Two. Introduction of medals for Chengdu Universiade
The medal of Chengdu Universiade "Glory" is taken from the abbreviation of Chengdu "Glory", which also means "Glory". The medal ribbon is made of Sichuan Brocade, a national intangible cultural heritage. A total of 2270 medals were awarded at the Universiade. To be on the safe side, 3000 pieces of ribbons were produced. The ribbon is made of Shu brocade technology and materials, with a width of only 2.5 cm, but the pattern on it is very fine and complicated. Shu brocade is a jacquard brocade fabric with local style with mulberry silk as the main raw material. Its production process is complex, including preparation process, design process, assembly process, debugging and other processes.

Chengdu Universiade is the third Universiade held in Chinese mainland after Beijing Universiade in 20001and Shenzhen Universiade in 20 1 1. It was originally scheduled for August this year.
