Liaoning University of Petrochemical Technology is located at Dandong Road 1, Wanghua District, Fushun City, Liaoning Province. It is a multi-disciplinary provincial key university characterized by petroleum and petrochemical industry, with eight disciplines of engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, teaching and art developing in a coordinated way. Liaoning Province is a university jointly established with PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC.

The school covers an area of 1890 mu, with a total construction area of 532,000 square meters. There are 20 colleges, 2 doctoral programs, 14 first-class master programs, 47 master programs in two disciplines, 10 master degree authorized categories and 56 undergraduate majors. The school ranks 264 in soft subjects, 253 in alumni association and 35 1 in Wu Shulian. There are five national majors, namely chemical engineering and technology, process equipment and control engineering, oil and gas storage and transportation engineering, chemical engineering and technology, and applied chemistry.
